When a major studio premiered a studio film — a film about a man who can't feel pain — the goal was an experience that matched the story: something that felt intense and cinematic, but was completely safe for every guest. Here's how NovaTech designed and ran it.

The concept: turn the film's idea into a moment guests could feel

A good activation makes people do something and walk away with a story. We built the experience around the movie's core idea: no pain. Guests would step up, take part in something that looked bold and a little dangerous… and leave perfectly fine, holding a piece of the film they could share.

What we built: the "activation zone"

At the center was a custom activation zone run by a robotic arm. A guest placed their hand on the pad, and the robot moved in and "stamped" it with the film's branding — timed with sound and motion so it felt dramatic and real. Every movement was precisely programmed, so the show was intense to watch but 100% controlled and safe.

The second robot: a cinematic camera

A robotic camera captured the whole moment from angles a handheld could never hold. Each guest walked away with a personalized, branded video delivered instantly by QR code — content they posted and shared, extending the premiere far beyond the room.

Turnkey, insured, run by our own team

We handled the entire scope end to end: concept, engineering, programming, installation, and live operation — with our own robots and technicians, fully insured. One accountable partner from the first sketch to the last load-out.

Why this works for brands and agencies

  • On-theme: the activation was the story, not a generic photo op.
  • Shareable: personalized branded video = organic reach after the event.
  • Safe + reliable: precise programming and on-site engineers, every time.
  • Custom: built specifically for the film and the brand.

This is what we do: custom robotic show production for brand activations, product launches, and premieres — in Los Angeles and nationwide.

Bring a robotic activation to your next event

Questions & answers

Can you build a custom activation for our brand or film?

Yes — we design, engineer, and run bespoke robotic experiences around your concept, not off-the-shelf equipment.

Is a robotic activation safe around guests?

Yes. Every motion is programmed and tested, and our engineers run it on-site with full insurance (COI available on request).

What do guests take away?

With our robotic camera, each guest can leave with a personalized, branded video delivered by QR — instantly shareable.

Where do you operate?

Based in Los Angeles, available nationwide.
