For this exclusive private event, NovaTech created a breathtaking aerial performance centered around a vocalist appearing to float effortlessly above the audience. Standing atop a custom-designed gown spanning nearly 40 feet in diameter and rising more than 21 feet high, the artist became a living centerpiece – part sculpture, part stage, and part illusion.
As the performance unfolded, the singer glided through space with smooth, elegant movements that would be impossible for a performer on a conventional stage. The massive custom-built gown, created specifically for this production, transformed the entire scene into a magical visual spectacle. Illuminated by dramatic lighting and surrounded by an atmosphere of mystery, the performer appeared almost otherworldly, captivating guests and generating a wave of social media attention long after the event concluded.
What the audience never sees is the technology behind the illusion. Hidden beneath the flowing structure is a powerful industrial KUKA robot that precisely supports and moves the performer throughout the show. The gown serves as both a scenic element and a visual disguise, concealing the engineering while enhancing the magic. While this production featured a vocalist, the concept can be adapted for violinists, dancers, instrumentalists, or virtually any live performer. The result is an unforgettable fusion of robotics, artistry, and theatrical storytelling that leaves audiences wondering, “How is that even possible?”
